Journal History

Tropos was founded and set up by the Society for Comparative Cultural Inquiry, a graduate society at UCL, in 2013. It was established as a forum for researchers and scholars working in any area of comparative cultural inquiry, with the aim of fostering and promoting innovative critical thought and comparative research in the areas of literature, art, film, history, philosophy, politics, critical theory, and all related subjects.

The journal publishes twice a year in December and June. December's publication contains the Society's annual conference proceedings, with June's edition open to submissions according to a set theme.
